![]() I thought I preferred turn-based for a while, but then I went back and played PoE1 and had a blast Turn-based doesn't really gently caress any class over (except as mentioned if you go all out on attack speed) but I wouldn't recommend it unless you really can't hack the speed of rtwp. You did a super job wrapping things up! And I'm not just saying that because I have to! Both of these approaches were (justifiably) nerfed in Deadfire, although the paralyze invocation is still incredibly powerful to spam even in Deadfire. Either, you give them the Dragon Thrashed chant and watch everything around you die with no micromanagement whatsoever, or you have your Chanter use level 1 chants (which builds invocations faster) and then you spam the level 2 paralyze invocation which is an aoe paralyze and hilariously overpowered.Ĭhanters are broken af in Poe1. It worked amazingly well for Pathfinder and made the really hard fights 10x more manageable. ini edit (i think) that lets you swap in and out of turn based mode. Going rtwp because I've heard a lot of bad things about turn base especially how certain classes get completely hosed by the mechanic changes. Same with druids, rogues, monks, mostly the extra classes from the DLC with characters I never really used. I never 100% figured out how to best use chanters in PoE1 other then super heavy armor and ranged weapons. Having 5 party members seems like you need 2 martial 3 caster. Just the memory (lol) of Grievous Mother was enough to push me to take cipher because holy gently caress was she a terrible party member. I went pure class base cipher for the PC so no need for any others.
